Celtic Paddles Ltd was formed for the manufacture of paddles specifically for the Intermediate to advanced paddler. In 2010 Celtic Paddles purchased Lendal paddles. Celtic Paddles now produces the Pro and Classic range. All the Pro range and most of the Classic range are manufactured in Wales. This takes place in the SKUK factory where they also manufacture sea kayaks designed by Nigel Dennis. This enables them to design and manufacture a standard range of paddles with the option of customising if needed.
By combining SKUK and Celtic Paddles in the same factory has given access to a wealth of knowledge and experience in composite construction and practical on the water experience. In addition they have a sound working relationship with PRF. This along with input from Alistair Wilson has enabled them to role tubes to a high standard with the support of PRF’s laboratory helps us design and test new products.
Outdoor Research® was built from a feeling: the urge to get out. It’s what drives them. They have a core mission to provide Innovation and Inspiration for the Relentless Adventurer. Built on the story of the founder Ron Gregg seeing his frostbitten best friend get airlifted off a climbing route due to equipment failure, Ron decided he needed to ensure this type of thing didn’t happen again. He realized he could both fix the gear problem and devote his life to pursuing his passion for adventure, and created Outdoor Research.
But they are more than just the gear they build. They’re part of a community of friends whose lives are connected by our common need to be outside. They are devoted to exploring outdoor passions and challenging themselves in the mountains, water and deserts of the planet we all love so much.
Restrap products are made by cyclists, for cyclists. Riding is what they do. When it all began, found that standard equipment was not up to the test. Amazing views, climbs and descents were frequently spoiled by one thing: broken pedal straps. Back then, there was simply nothing on the market strong enough to withstand the forces and pressures of everyday riding. So they made their own. They designed, developed and produced our signature product, the diagonal strap. It was a success.
From these small beginnings, Restrap has gone from strength to strength, now producing a wide range of innovative, hard wearing cycling products. They know what cyclists want, understand those small but irritating riding problems – storage space, fluid intake, reliability – and they solve them with careful, functional designs
